Thinking About You

Thinking About You

“How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.”

Psalm 139:17-18, ESV

God loves you.

Maybe you need to hear that today. Maybe you need to be reminded of that important truth. This Psalm encourages us that God’s people are cherished and He thinks of us at all time. He thinks of YOU, even in this very moment.

If we read this entire Psalm, we can be encouraged that God knows us completely.

“O Lord, you have searched me and known me!” –Psalm 139:1

God is always with us, He will help us and guide us.

“Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?” –Psalm 139:7

You are special, unique, one of a kind. You are extraordinary in God’s eyes.

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” –Psalm 139:14

Think about the first “crush” you had. When you like someone, that person consumes your thoughts and attention. That person is on your mind all the time—when you wake up and when you go to sleep. You may have daydreamed at school or at work, thinking about that person.

Now think about this.

Imagine what would happen if we trained our minds to think about God that way.

Are you thinking of God?

The truth is God thinks about you All. The. Time. He loves you and cares about you. Every day God will use anything and anyone to remind you that He cares, He loves you, and He is with you.

I wonder how often we go through the day, not realizing how God is trying to get our attention. It could be a child who gives you a hug. It could be the rays of sunshine outside and the changing of leaves. It could be a friend who calls you unexpectedly or a card you receive in the mail.

Whether you realize it or not you are on God’s mind constantly when you wake up and when you are about to go to sleep.

So as you go throughout your day today, take some time to look around. Be present and mindful. Take some time to thank Him and look for how things remind you of God’s love and how He cares for you.

Prayer: Father, we thank You for who You are: a good and loving Father. Thank You that You know everything about us. Thank You that You Love us. Thank You that You are always thinking of us. We praise You that You are with us every step of the way, every moment of the day. Help us to cast all of our cares on You when we get anxious and worried. You are always our rock in times of trouble, and You have always promised that You will never leave nor forsake us. Thank You for always being faithful. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We hope and pray this encourages you today. Please know we are thinking and praying for you that God will strengthen and give you HOPE for today! You are loved.
