Thank you for your interest in the volunteer ministry at the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove and for taking the time to complete this application. We appreciate your desire to serve the Lord with this organization.
The Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove is a unique setting designed to provide training for people as they endeavor to fulfill the Great Commission. Each year we have thousands of people who come to The Cove for seminars, with a Guest Group, or just to visit. As they support our staff in various areas, volunteers have a key role in ministering to those people who come.
To be considered for volunteer opportunities, interested individuals must:
- Have a clear commitment to Jesus Christ, supported by a Christian testimony and the
ability to clearly share their personal conversion experience and testimony; - Be committed to represent BGEA in a positive manner, adhering to BGEA’s Statement of Faith;
- Be committed to a mature, Christ-honoring lifestyle, conducting themselves in a manner consistent with Biblical principles;
- Be committed to serve the Lord as a member of a team, exhibiting a Christian attitude and a servant’s heart, working cooperatively to support BGEA’s mission to spread the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our Visitors Center, located at the Chatlos Memorial Chapel, gives a first-hand introduction to the life and ministry of Dr. Billy Graham to those who visit The Cove. The Visitors Center is open year-round and is staffed almost entirely by volunteers.
We seek volunteers to serve in various areas of ministry at The Cove:
Greeters welcome arriving guests.
Prayer Intercessors support the program, staff and participants of the Billy Graham Training Center by participating in a ministry of prayer.
Program Assistants serve in several areas…they may help with registration for seminars and events; assist in the office with notebook preparations, making telephone calls, typing, proofreading and making copies; or they may serve as a hostess, small group leader, musician/worship leader for Women’s Bible Study.
Property Services volunteers help with Technical, Building or Grounds Maintenance and also may assist with Safety Administration.
Tour Guides not only share the history of The Cove and BGEA ministries, but they also share the love of Christ as they welcome visitors from around the world.
Our staff is committed to the purpose and ministry of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Please read carefully the enclosed information about the organization as you consider your involvement.
