Share Your Faith Using “Steps to Peace”: Step 1 – God’s Purpose

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”

Romans 5:1-2, NKJV

For decades, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association team – and Christians around the world – have used a simple little tract called Steps to Peace with God to share their faith with others.

What is Steps to Peace? It’s a short collection of Bible verses that show God’s plan for us, how sin has separated us from Him, how Jesus created a bridge for us to return to our Heavenly Father, and – finally – how that reconciliation can take place.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll post each of the four steps. As you read them, we encourage you to pray for those you know who need the hope that Jesus provides.

STEP 1 – God’s Purpose: Peace and Life

God loves you and wants you to experience peace and eternal life.

The Bible says:

  • “We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1)
  • “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

What keeps us from having the life God planned for us?

Check back next week for STEP 2: The Problem: Our Separation from God.

Once there, they can click the “Chat” button to begin a conversation with a trained volunteer who will walk alongside and encourage them in finding and following Christ.
