Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove is a place where guests can step away from life’s distractions, grow in their faith, and draw closer to Jesus Christ.
With a mission of equipping people through God’s Word to share the hope of Jesus Christ, The Cove welcomes thousands of guests each year for Bible teaching, fellowship, and spiritual renewal. Faithful volunteers play an important role in this ministry, helping share Christ’s love with everyone who visits.
Whether you enjoy welcoming guests, serving behind the scenes or praying for others, there are many ways to get involved.
“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” —1 Peter 4:10, NKJV
Here are four ways you can serve at The Cove:
1. Welcome visitors
Serve as a tour guide at the Chatlos Memorial Chapel and Visitors Center. Welcome guests from around the world, share the history of The Cove and introduce visitors to the life and ministry of Billy Graham.
2. Support events and programs
Help create a welcoming experience for guests attending seminars and special events. Volunteers assist with greeting visitors, distributing materials, and completing office tasks. Opportunities also include serving during the annual Women’s Bible Study.
3. Serve through prayer
Prayer is an important part of The Cove’s ministry. As a prayer intercessor, you can lift up guests, staff, and programs, asking God to work in hearts and draw people closer to Him.
4. Help care for The Cove
Use your skills to help maintain The Cove’s beautiful property. Volunteers assist with building and grounds maintenance, technical needs, and safety-related tasks.
God can use your time and talents to make a lasting difference. Prayerfully consider how you can be part of The Cove’s ministry. Complete a volunteer application today!
